ANTI-WRINKLE TREATMENTS

Specifically designed for aesthetic purposes, anti-wrinkle injections are used to relax the muscles that cause unwanted wrinkles and lines and are made from Botulinum A which is a sterile, purified, freeze dried product produced from fermentation of Clostridium Botulinum type A. It is a neurotoxin and blocks nerve transmission to the muscle so that it cannot contract and move. Anti-wrinkle injections can cause a very noticeable reduction in the lines and wrinkles of the face. Administered by injection with a fine needle, the treatment is minimally invasive and quick to perform with minimal discomfort.

Results can take up to 14 days post treatment to be fully noticeable, although a change in appearance can be seen much sooner. The results can last up to 4 months. The effects of the treatment may vary for each client due to the severity of the lines and wrinkles being treated and strength of the facial muscles, together with other factors such as age, frequency of treatment and lifestyle.

Treatment cannot be performed on clients under the age of 18 or those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Treatment cannot be repeated any sooner than every 3 months.

Areas treated on the forehead are:

Frontalis (elevator)

Glabellar region (frown lines)

Corrugator and Procerus muscles cause frown lines between the eyebrows and across the nose.

Orbicularis Oculi muscle surrounding the eyes which cause crows feet lines.
